Facilities

TMC's main facility is a house with an attached shrine room.

The central figure on the shrine is Shakyamuni Buddha.  In the Drikung lineage, the eight traditional offerings of water for the mouth, water for the feet, flowers, incense, light, water for the face, food, and music are arranged from our right to our left on the altar.

Participants in programs at the center are invited to relax in the comfortable living room during breaks.  There is also a newly remodeled kitchen where you can get a warm cup of tea.

The basement currently has our small library and bookstore open to congregants.  You will find practice texts, photos of our teachers and meditational figures, cushions and other supplies in our store.

Also see Vajra Publications, founded by Khenchen Rinpoche, for more practice texts, original Dharma books, and translations of Kagyu classics.

The library, though small, has a number of titles you are welcome to browse while visiting the center.  The comfortable couches are a popular place to catch a quick nap on breaks as well.

There is also a small garden with the "Milarepa Cave".  Candlelight ceremonies are sometimes held here.  You are welcome to relax and enjoy the surrounding forest.

When driving up to the center, look for the "Dharma" sign by the mailbox.

In addition, there are trails through Gambrill State Park, adjacent to the center property.  Hikers and mountain bikers are a common site.
